My Story
When I was growing up my parents owned a small photography business. I spent my weekends watching my siblings while my parents would photograph a wedding. Sometimes I would sit for my Father so he could practice some new lighting techniques he learned. I had always been an artist but I could never find that one medium that totally satisfied my inner need to create; until Photography.
I love learning everything I can about my craft and am constantly trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible. In doing so, I became a CPP (Certified Professional Photographer) and earned the Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degrees from Professional Photographers of America. I now also enjoy judging image competitions and guest speaking across the country to fellow photographers on inspiration and creativity. I was honored when Professional Photographer Magazine asked to do a feature profile on how I incorporate creativity into my everyday work. The article can be found here
Recently I made the move from a studio in Downtown Port Huron to my own building in Marysville Michigan. With the help of my Father, I spent a year renovating and rejuvenating one of the few older buildings in town.
My #1 goal is to create images that make you feel- whether it’s through the fine art I create, silly images of my three dogs, or personal portraits of you.
